Mass to start shortly; apologies for delay. Aiming now for 0945...

30/01/2021

Please note that Father Darryl and Neil Dawson, Chair of the Parish Pastoral Council, have decided to suspend communal weekend Masses with immediate effect. This is because
(1) we've had more positive COVID19 tests in the community;
(2) the rate of infection in the BCP area, especially Iford & East Southbourne, is still above the national average, putting increased pressure on University Hospitals Dorset NHS Trust. (Father Darryl has seen the impact first hand as RC Chaplain at Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals.)

We hope and pray that things will improve and we will be able to gather again soon.

Our Masses are livestreamed on Facebook (Youtube tried but too difficult to implement.)

Apologies but cannot do live streaming because our ISP hasn't provided Internet service for several days. Fault reported of course but still no joy.

Seriously important explanation of the chemistry behind the Twenty Seconds Rule. Many thanks to our Parish 'Verger' Mike for sending this via email. He also advised I use a separate Pall on the Paten as well as the Chalice during the Consecration.

Good to have practical geniuses like him, 'Churchwarden' Steve, Treasurer Peter and Sacristan Tim so efficaciously looking after our property's fabric and finance. On the people side, of course we're blessed with the Pastoral perspicacity of our other 'Churchwarden' Neil.
