Our Parish lies at the heart of Bootle. It opened as far back as 1845 to help Bootle Catholics worship locally and enable them to get to Mass without having to walk all the way to St. Anthony’s on Scotland Road, Liverpool

Today we are in the care of the Salesian family, with strong support from the Sisters of Maria Auxiliatrice. However, following the example and inspiration of St. John Bosco, we place young people at the centre of our prayer and work. We also serve and work very closely with our 2 Catholic School of All Saint Catholic Primary and Savio Salesian College

22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
There is a way of losing by gaining. You can win an argument but lose a friend. Through competition and promotion I may advance in my profession but in terms of relationships I am impoverished. My energies are so focused on efficiency and success that I haven’t time to grow emotionally and to develop my capacity for relationships. In one’s drive to attain power, a person may sacrifice friendship and loyalty, so much so that one ends up alone. Lord, let me never forget your haunting words: “What good will it do you to gain the whole world if you lose your soul?”

Today, we concluded the second week of our Parish Summer Camp, this time welcoming our younger campers! We shared a wonderful week filled with prayer, daily Mass, friendship and plenty of fun, including trips to Alton Towers, Ninja Warrior, Ten Pin Bowling and Laser Tag and much much more. Once again, a huge thank you to our Salesian Brothers, Salesian Sisters and our dedicated Youth Active Team, whose hard work made the week so special. We are already looking forward to next year and our next Summer Camp. God bless!
