This sunday is going to be an all age service so we get to stay in together.

We are excited to continue in our study of John chapter 6.

Hopefully there will be some food for thought as we think about the living bread.

Greetings from the Manse.

Welcome to our Sunday worship, we do hope you will feel God's presence, as you join us in worship at our Communion service.

Our thanks to everyone who added their voice to the service today.

Our thanks and prayers go everyone who support the work of the church on a regular basis through their offering either electronically or directly at the door. These offerings allow the church to continue to work here in Bonnyrigg and the wider world. The Harbour: creating a safe space for our young people to meet, connect and learn about the love of Christ.

YF : Serving all young people throughout Bonnyrigg and surrounding area, a warm friendly group for high school aged young people from any church or none. Meeting every fortnight on a Sunday evening in the Pitcairn - 7pm - 9pm.

Youth Drop In : The Youth Drop for teenagers (S1 - S6) to chill out and have fun is held in Cockpen Church Halls on Thursday evenings.

Bonnie Buds: Meets on Thursday mornings, school term time, 10:00am till 12:00pm in the Loudon Hall.

The Harbour Pledge: If you would like to directly support the work of the Harbour, please consider signing a pledge form, this way part of your regular giving to the church is pledged to the work of the Harbour.
Pledge forms are available from the display area in the church. For more information speak to Iain Thomson.

The River: meets on the fourth Sunday of the month in the Pitcairn Centre at 6:30pm. A time to worship, pray and soak in God's presence together.

Private Prayer Time in Church: each Wednesday.
We are still looking to strengthen our team of Welcome volunteers for Private Prayer Time, if you you could offer your services for 2 hours on a Wednesday morning (10:00 - 12:00), on a rota basis please speak to Iain Thomson.

Pitcairn Centre: The Pitcairn Café is open Monday to Saturday – 10:00am – 12:00pm. Thursdays we will be open until 2:00pm with filled rolls (hot & cold) available. We look forward to welcoming you in for a cuppa and chat.

Monday Morning Meet: Monday Meet is a chance to meet with friends for a cuppa & a chat. Pitcairn Mondays - 10:00 - 12:00. Come along and join in the chat.

Good Grief: meets on the first Wednesday of the month, 1:00pm - 3:00pm, in the Pitcairn Centre.

Pitcairn Pantry: Our pantry is every Friday morning 10:30am – 11:30am, in the Pitcairn.
Donations of non-perishable food for pop-up pantry: Help us support what can be offered at Friday's pantry we are seeking donations of non-perishable goods that can be offered to families in need. Lists of useful items to donate and boxes for donations are available in both the Church and Pitcairn Centre. Boxes are available in both the Church and Pitcairn Centre for donations.

Pastoral Care Visits: If you know of anyone who is unable to get to church or would like to reconnect with a visit from our minister, Louise or from one of our pastoral care visitors, contact Diane Steel on 07711 133258 or email [email protected]

Flower Ministry: If you know of anyone who you feel would benefit from receiving flowers from the church please contact Evelyn Durham on 07751 337929 or 660 3250.

Bibles for Bairns: There are leaflets to register for this Guild project in the display area and Pitcairn Centre. If you have or know of a child under the age of 1 please take a leaflet and register their name today!

New Bible Study meets on Thursday 10 September in the Community Tearoom at 7pm

We hope to restart Souper Monday from mid October. There is a list in the display area for volunteers. Please add your name if you can help. We are looking for both volunteers to make soup and to serve.

Photos of Old Bonnyrigg from the Pitcairn Centre are presently on display at Dalkeith Palace. Exhibition open Friday, Saturday and Sunday until the end of September.

You are invited to a fun afternoon on Wednesday 16 th September 2 pm to 4 pm in the Pitcairn Centre. On this occasion we will have a Beetle Drive. Gosh, can you remember the rules! See you then.

Apologies - technical gremlins have struck the sound recording during the hymns today, the rest of the service is as normal. We will investigate + look to resolve this.

The Harbour: creating a safe space for our young people to meet, connect and learn about the love of Christ.

YF : Serving all young people throughout Bonnyrigg and surrounding area, a warm friendly group for high school aged young people from any church or none. Meeting every fortnight on a Sunday evening in the Pitcairn - 7pm - 9pm.

Youth Drop In : The Youth Drop for teenagers (S1 - S6) to chill out and have fun is held in Cockpen Church Halls on Thursday evenings.

Bonnie Buds: Meets on Thursday mornings, school term time, 10:00am till 12:00pm in the Loudon Hall.

The Harbour Pledge: If you would like to directly support the work of the Harbour, please consider signing a pledge form, this way part of your regular giving to the church is pledged to the work of the Harbour.
Pledge forms are available from the display area in the church. For more information speak to Iain Thomson.

The River: meets on the fourth Sunday of the month in the Pitcairn Centre at 6:30pm. A time to worship, pray and soak in God's presence together.

Private Prayer Time in Church: each Wednesday.
We are still looking to strengthen our team of Welcome volunteers for Private Prayer Time, if you you could offer your services for 2 hours on a Wednesday morning (10:00 - 12:00), on a rota basis please speak to Iain Thomson.

Pitcairn Centre: The Pitcairn Café is open Monday to Saturday – 10:00am – 12:00pm. Thursdays we will be open until 2:00pm with filled rolls (hot & cold) available. We look forward to welcoming you in for a cuppa and chat.

Monday Morning Meet: Monday Meet is a chance to meet with friends for a cuppa & a chat. Pitcairn Mondays - 10:00 - 12:00. Come along and join in the chat.

Good Grief: meets on the first Wednesday of the month, 1:00pm - 3:00pm, in the Pitcairn Centre.

Pitcairn Pantry: Our pantry is every Friday morning 10:30am – 11:30am, in the Pitcairn.
Donations of non-perishable food for pop-up pantry: Help us support what can be offered at Friday's pantry we are seeking donations of non-perishable goods that can be offered to families in need. Lists of useful items to donate and boxes for donations are available in both the Church and Pitcairn Centre. Boxes are available in both the Church and Pitcairn Centre for donations.

Pastoral Care Visits: If you know of anyone who is unable to get to church or would like to reconnect with a visit from our minister, Louise or from one of our pastoral care visitors, contact Diane Steel on 07711 133258 or email [email protected]

Flower Ministry: If you know of anyone who you feel would benefit from receiving flowers from the church please contact Evelyn Durham on 07751 337929 or 660 3250.

Bibles for Bairns: There are leaflets to register for this Guild project in the display area and Pitcairn Centre. If you have or know of a child under the age of 1 please take a leaflet and register their name today!

Sunday 16 August :There will be an extraordinary meeting of the Kirk Session after the service next week in the Ross McRae Hall to receive names of people wishing to join the Church.

Smartie tubes: If there are any left you can collect a tube of smarties from the front ot the church! Eat the smarties and then fill the tube with coins or bank note and return to the church. Thank you in advance.

Volunteers to support our Sunday Worship: There is a new rota in the display area for volunteers to take part in worship. We are looking for people to read from scripture, lead prayers for others or offer a children's talks. If you feel you can help with any of these please add your name to the list.

Prayer Shawls: Thanks to all who accepted the challenge and were knitting prayer shawls. Completed shawls should be handed to Pam Thomson 0131 660 3377

Newsletter -Articles for Newsletter: We continue to look for fresh content for future magazines, It could be a favourite hymn/bible reading and why they are important; tales from old and new Bonnyrigg, news of sporting or other events from youth, uniformed or other church groups. Pictures tell a thousand words so pictures are welcome. They may not all be used immediately but can used in future magazine.

Hillwalkers & Ramblers : Schedules of walks for the 2025/26 season are available from the display area of the church.
