What a great afternoon rounded off with three games of Bingo !
Earlier outside the petting farm was very popular. Even the alpacas were supervising all that was going on aroound Breightmet!

Great turn out for our last funday of 2026. There were over 200 people came, we are tired but we enjoyed every moment. Big thanks to all who came. We had Millies Petting Farm with chickens, small animals, alpackers, goats and sheep, I am just having difficulties posting some

Our Fun day is open. We are set up in church and on the grassed area near to the main door. Lots of activities to enjoy. Free refreshements and games of bingo later.

St James’ 2nd Free Family Funday is this Wednesday 19th August.
It begins at 1pm and will run for around an hour and a half to two hours.

We’re planning to hold it in the Parish Centre garden, with the splash pool, garden games, the petting farm and, of course, the llama.

If the weather turns wet, we’ll move the funday inside the church for bingo and crafts, with the animals outside under shelter.

We hope you can come — we’re really looking forward to welcoming you.

This afternoon we welcomed James and his family to St James as we celebrated his baptism. He was a joy to baptise, and I would like to thank his very caring big brother Jacob who helped me with parts of the service.

Great day at the Breightmet Show today, what a great turn out. St James Church had lots of God's amazing creatures, thanks to Torrs Exotics for bringing them along. Great to see members of the Pride in Place board out talking to Breightmet residents.

We have Toor's Exotics Petting Zoo with us too.
Come along and see us. Lots going on here. Free activities on the field and carrs pasties and drinks. Dome Park. Milnthorpe Road. Here till 4pm

Our Car Boot sale has opened for business on the church car park.
We are open till 1pm. Come on down and support the car booters. Our cafe is open for sausage barms, toast and lovely cakes

Our Second Car Boot Sale is this Saturday 8th August on the Church car park on Roscow Avenue 10 am -1pm. We are fully booked with 11 cars and 10 table spots.
The sausage sandwiches were so enjoyed last week we are having them again !
