Spirit of Life,
We hold in our hearts the people of Nepal,
whose valleys and villages have been torn by flood and avalanche,
whose families grieve beloved ones lost,
whose homes and hopes lie buried beneath mud and stone.
May courage steady those who mourn,
may compassion surround the displaced,
may hands across nations join in rescue and rebuilding.
We remember that all creation is one body,
and when one part suffers, all are wounded.
Let our prayers become action,
our sorrow become solidarity,
our love become shelter for those in need.
Spirit of the earth,
carry the people of Nepal in your embrace.
May healing come, may peace endure,
and may life be renewed in the shadow of the Himalayas.
