on the day of the opening of the Bayeux tapestry in London, a reminder of a different story told through the same medium of threads. Battles may get more headlines, but peace is better for the world now, as it was then.
Great news! The Quaker Tapestry Museum will continue to open on Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm through the end of October! Admission is free, though donations to the Meeting House are welcome.
The Quaker Tapestry Museum will also be open for Kendal Heritage Week, opening on Wednesday 16 September from 10am-4pm and Sunday 20 September 1:30pm-4pm. On the Wednesday we will hold mini meetings for worship at 10:30am, 11am, and 2pm for 15 minutes, followed by a Q&A and reflections. We will also be doing activities in the Tapestry Room related to everyday Quaker life.
Additionally, the Quaker Tapestry Ltd Annual General Meeting will be held on 5th September at 10.30am at the Friends Meeting House, Stramongate, Kendal LA9 4 BH. All members are warmly invited. Please book on [email protected] or by post at the above address.
