Hi everyone. Hope you are enjoying life despite the continuing troublesome times we are living in.
For last Sunday's service we had already decided to focus on the need for peace among the warring nations of the world, thinking particularly of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and then of course the day before we learned of heightened tensions in the Middle East with the air interventions in Iran. It was surprising that even among the relatively small group of us in church on Sunday how many of us had loved ones in places directly affected by the consequences of the action. We are sure that there must be many in our community who have been similarly affected. It is indeed a troubled world we live in, but we were encouraged from the the reflections we had during that service that there was no need to be afraid because however much it looks like it - things are not out of control, but we need to keep each other supported and encouraged, so be sure that we keep all those who are anxious in our prayers.
We would also remind you of the Colin's Corner support group meetings on alternate Friday mornings - there's one on this coming Friday. You can be sure of a warm welcome and a chance to relax, unwind and feel comfortable. The details for contacting Corrina are elsewhere on this page, or search Colin's Corner.
Anyway, as the weather seems to be more spring like we hope you are taking the opportunity to get out and about a bit more. Keep safe and as ever, always pleased to hear from you or have you drop in on a Sunday morning at 10.45 am.
Take care.
