At Aldwick Baptist Church, our aim is to: LOVE GOD, LOVE EACH OTHER AND LOVE OUR COMMUNITY You do not stay angry for ever but delight to show mercy.

We are about loving God, loving one another and loving lost people-
‘Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.’ Hebrews 13:1
Verse 2 goes on to say: ‘Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.’

We are about grace reaching more and more people-
‘We know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us

with Jesus and present us with you to himself. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.’ 2 Corinthians 4:14-15

We are about building God’s Kingdom as we extend our boundaries-
‘The day for building your walls will come, the day for extending your boundaries.’ Micah 7:11

We believe that Jesus is God’s answer to our community-
‘Who is a God like you who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You will again have compassion on us.’ Micah 7:18-19

We are about the loving, reaching and building which can only be achieved in our community through the power and love of Jesus!

"Love Aldwick" Community Activities

The ABC Family do hope that you have enjoyed a wonderful summer and taken full advantage of the hot weather.

The church has enjoyed a short break from its community activities over the past few weeks but they are all about to start up again in the autumn. The details are below but please note the following start up dates (sone have already started):
- Tuesday 1st September - Community Cafe
- Wednesday 2nd September - Lunch Club
- Thursday 3rd September - Coffee Time (West
Meads)
- Monday 7th September - Toddler Time and
Craft Club
- Tuesday 8th September - Table Tennis
- Saturday 12th September - Piece Together
Puzzlers

Also our next Quarterly event is on Saturday 26th September and will feature our AUTUMN HOT POT QUIZ NIGHT commencing at 7pm BUT BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. (More details below).

AUTUMN HOT POT SUPPER & QUIZ NIGHT

You are invited to come as an individual (or with a team) to enjoy our popular Autumn Quiz Night and a tasty hot pot supper.

The details are as shown below and the event is free - however we would like to encourage everyone who signs up to make a financial donation on the night to Tear Fund - an international organisation seeking to relieve hardship and suffering in various parts of our world.

If you like food and quizzes, please book your place - and we look forward to a great evening and to raising money to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

What a great day. It was great to spend time with our lovely community. Over 120 people turned up and the weather was OK. Thank you to all those who came and for the generous donations which reduced substantially the overall cost to the church.Thank you all for your support.

DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP!

Not long now until our Summer extravaganza on 20th June 2026 from 2 to 4pm. There really is something for everyone - especially kids.

We've got a Seaside Treasure Hunt, Face Painting, Monkey Run inflatable, and lots of other challenges. We've got a Strawberry Cream Tea and best of all entry is free (though if you can afford to make a donation to cover the costs it would be much appreciated).

If all of that is too much, if its a nice day we will have our rear garden open for relaxing and a chat. Hope to see you there but don't forget to book.

Summer Family Activity Challenge &
Strawberry Cream Tea

We are just a few weeks away from this exciting Community Celebration of Summer and there are alraedy a good number of people signed up to this very poular annual event but we still have room for more and would love it if you could come and join us.

Best of all this event is free of charge - as it is our honour to invite you, our neighbours, to join with us and allow us to showcase our wonderful facilities and the other activities and services which we have on offer during the year (donations to help with the costs would, of course, be gratefully received)

The flyer for the event is shown below

We have booked a special inflatable run for the kids, a face painter, and there will be activities in our buildings and grounds for all ages. We will have a veteran vehicle playing fairground music (courtesy of the Rose Green Arts & Craft Centre) and there will be a luscious strawberry cream tea on offer (and cakes for the children if they prefer).

For those who prefer a slower pace, the rear garden will be open (weather permitting) to relax and enjoy the refreshments and a natter.

We would love to see you there but, in order to cater appropriately, will you please book your place as soon as possible, as requested below, because this event is always very popular and we have an upper attendance limit that we can safely operate within.

See you in the sunshine! (there's confidence for you).

What a great encouragement to see six people baptised today. It was a moving service and all glory goes to Jesus. We pray for the candidates that from this day forward they will take life on with the power of the Holy Spirit to help them.
