A prayer at Christmas:
Lord Jesus, thank you that you came to earth about 2000 years ago. Your grace has opened the door for all to receive you, regardless of how good we have been. Yet not everyone treasures the gift. You are the perfect gift which no-one can match.
We cannot earn or repay the gift. It's immeasurable!
Thank you that you are present in our hearts because your spirit dwells in those who believe.
You give power and strength to overcome the enemy, who prowls to see from whom he can steal. You give joy and peace in difficult circumstances and your desire is for us always to succeed.
Thank you that you don't leave us alone, but are with us, helping us and cheering us on, forever.

Romans 1:17 Passion Translation
The gospel reveals a continual revelation of God's righteousness- a perfect righteousness given to us when we believe. And it moves us from receiving life through faith, to the power of living by faith

I've just been reading Hebrews 6: 12 in the Passion Translation, which speaks of 'those who fully receive what God has promised'.
But in the footnotes, it says that the Aramaic can also be translated as 'those who were heirs of the royal proclamation'.
I encourage you to read Hebrews 6 yourself and insert that other translation of the Aramaic, to discern the gravitas of that statement.

'God speaks to us in the language of Son, because Jesus is the language of God '

John the Baptist encouraged the Jews to repent and believe God's Word, and to bear fruit worthy of repentance.
If we truly believe God's Word, it will change us and the way we live our lives.
If any area of our life does not display God's glory, meditate on His Word, and be obedient to Him, until you fully believe the truth. Sow God's Word into your life until it becomes a reality for you.
That is fruit which is worthy of repentance.
