St Hydroc's Church

St Hydroc's church is the parish church for the community of Lanhydrock. It is situated within the grounds of the National Trust property Lanhydrock House.

Currently we are only open for Sunday worship at 09.45

A very happy Easter from St Hydroc's Church.

Removing the radiators and associated pipework has allowed us to create an informal area at the back of the church. We have incorporated a prayer tree as well so that our congregation and the many visitors can add their prayer requests. Grateful thanks to all those who have worked so hard to make this happen.

Next Sunday, 22nd March, there is a Team Service at St Petroc's church where the Bishop of Truro will preside. This means that there will not be a service at St Hydroc's church. Our next service will be a Holy Communion service at 0945 on 29 March to mark Palm Sunday and the start of Holy Week.

In view of the weather warnings in place for tomorrow we have taken the decision to cancel the 09.45 service this Sunday. All being well we will hold next Sunday's service as usual and it will be a Holy Communion service rather than Matins.

Everyone is welcome to join this pilgrimage on 2nd November. It will start from the National Trust car park at Respryn and finish at St Hydroc's church.

It's October and it's almost time once again for our annual Celebration of Marriage Service. If you were married at St Hydroc's church, or even if you weren't, do come along and join us for this special service.

The property is now open again and we will be holding a Holy Communion service at 15.00. Car parking is as normal ie. in the church circle.

Sadly, because of the forecast high winds tomorrow, the National Trust are closing the property, possibly reopening midday on Sunday. That means of course that we are, once again, unable to hold our morning service. However all is not lost. The plan is to have Sunday's service at 3.00pm. Hopefully people will be able to make that. If you are planning to attend please just double check the National Trust web page or page to check that the property is open before setting off.

Sunday 24th tomorrow and it is the last of our 2025 series of Evensong.
Just a reminder there is no morning service and Evensong will commence at 16:00.
