St Hydroc's Church St Hydroc's church is the parish church for the community of Lanhydrock. It is situated within the grounds of the National Trust property Lanhydrock House.

First wedding of the year yesterday and the weather couldn’t have been more unkind - rain, high winds and cold. The church was warm and welcoming though and the flowers which would have been wrecked if we had put them outside by the porch looked lovely in front of the altar.

Removing the radiators and associated pipework has allowed us to create an informal area at the back of the church. We have incorporated a prayer tree as well so that our congregation and the many visitors can add their prayer requests. Grateful thanks to all those who have worked so hard to make this happen.

Next Sunday, 22nd March, there is a Team Service at St Petroc's church where the Bishop of Truro will preside. This means that there will not be a service at St Hydroc's church. Our next service will be a Holy Communion service at 0945 on 29 March to mark Palm Sunday and the start of Holy Week.

In view of the weather warnings in place for tomorrow we have taken the decision to cancel the 09.45 service this Sunday. All being well we will hold next Sunday's service as usual and it will be a Holy Communion service rather than Matins.
