A global Christian legacy of faith.

Stephen’s martyrdom in Acts 7 illustrates how he was unlawfully stoned despite Roman restrictions on Jewish executions.
Though accused of blasphemy (Acts 6:13–15), Stephen honored God, entrusting his spirit to Christ and praying for his killers. His death also set the stage for Saul’s later conversion (Acts 7:58; 8:1)
I was very surprised to see this pattern continues today. In Sub-Saharan Africa, violent religious groups drive displacement in 13/22 countries, with family pressure (9/22) and state pressure (7/22) also contributing.
I was astonished to learn that Nigeria alone accounts for 79% of recorded killings of Christians in one reporting period. In MENA (Middle East and North Africa) , the people's displacement, almost all of which are Christian, is driven by community pressure (10/14), family pressure (9/14), and state pressure (6/14), particularly affecting converts from other faiths .
Both then and now, believers face false accusations, violence, and displacement.
It's encouraging to the persecuted church, that Stephen’s example highlights the Christian response: faithful witness, confidence in eternal life, and forgiveness—trusting that God can bring redemption even through persecution.
Please allow me to ask you to pray and support the 388 million persecuted Christians around the world, some of whom are supported by Open Doors UK & Ireland.
Thank you and God bless you all powerfully.

Loving Father, You promise that everyone who asks receives, and all who seek will find You. Teach us to come before You with humble hearts, trusting in You always, no matter how challenging our life is, or no matter how isolated and hopeless we may feel. May our faith in You, remain steadfast as we wait for Your timely response, knowing that You graciously open every door that's aligned with Your will.

Find the community you're looking for.
A sermon from our very own Pastor Tom Beaumont

Jesus draws us out of loneliness and disconnection and brings us into a loving community with God and with one another through his sacrificial death and living friendship.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13, NIV)

Dear Father God, thank you that you loved us so much you laid down your life for us.
Please help us to know deep in our heart that we are never truly alone, because you call us friends.
Teach us to love others like you have loved us, and to notice and care for those who feel lonely around us.
Amen.

A prayer for Peace in Christ.

Lord Jesus Christ, in You the fullness of God is pleased to dwell. Lord we pray and thank you that through Your precious blood, You have reconciled us with the Father and so we can now have peace. Jesus, You invite everyone to find rest in You for their anxious souls. We confess that true and lasting peace cannot be found in this world but can and will only be found in You, our risen Lord and Savior. Lord, we learn that It takes much greater faith to deny the power of Your resurrection than to trust in the denial of it because of the overwhelming evidence. Your peace, O Lord, is not like the peace the world gives; we acknowledge that it is Your divine gift to us, secured by Your cross and Your Blood, sealed by Your Spirit. Lord, let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds, allow it to keep us steadfast through the troubles and challenges we experience in our daily life. May we rest in your calm Your presence, where love conquers fear and silences all our doubts.
Amen

One can find lasting peace by coming to faith in Jesus—
If one does some research on bible texts one will find it takes more faith not to believe in Jesus Christ and His resurrection from His death. (Colossians 1:19–21; Romans 5:1),
This peace is a gift from God (John 14:27), secured by Christ’s blood and not dependent on circumstances, and reinforced by trusting God (Philippians 4:7; Matthew 11:28).

Lord Jesus, you know every injustice we have suffered, even the ones we cannot put into words. You promise that Our Father will bring about justice for your chosen ones who cry to Him day and night, so now, we come to you like the persistent widow in Luke 18, refusing to give up, even when we feel tired and unheard. We confess that we are not only victims, but also sinners who have wronged others. Thank you that on the cross you bore the judgment we all deserve so that mercy and justice could meet in our life. Please take the situations where we have been wronged or where no apology has healed, and hold these before the Father until the day you make everything new. Dear Lord, teach us to trust your timing even when justice seems delayed, help us to pray without losing heart, and to believe with assurance that you have not forgotten us.

Guard our hearts from bitterness, and help us to forgive those who have hurt us, as you taught us in your wonderful prayer to our Father in heaven. Allow us to entrust the whole weight of it to you. When you come again, may we be found among those still looking to you, still crying out “Come, Lord Jesus,” and still believing that in You, we will finally find the justice and the joy our souls are longing for.
Amen.
