Come and say goodbye to Alice! This Sunday 29th September we say farewell to our curate Alice with a joint service of celebration at St Mary’s in Woodstock at 11am, followed by drinks and a bring and share lunch.
Alice has been with us since 2015 and among other things in the last four years has been awarded an MA, completed her curacy, covered a year of vacancy while we find our new Rector, and also got married to Matt! Whether you know her through schools, funerals, weddings, baptisms, Sunday worship or anywhere else, she would be delighted to see you at St Mary’s this Sunday.
At lunch will be taking a collection for Alice’s nominated charity: Mind, for better mental health.

PLEASE NOTE: there is no 9.30am service in Bladon this Sunday.

We strive to be accessible and inclusive in our churches and are always open to new ideas and suggestions for ways we can improve. The Church of England is encouraging congregations across the country to celebrate Ability Sunday. These words of Archbishop Justin go a little way to explaining why this is so important.

Mother's Day is observed in a special way in our churches. We offer a short, accessible family service with favourite hymns, suitable for all ages. We make our churches a safe space to come and be together. This is the place to be if you're celebrating mothers and motherhood. But we also recognise that motherhood is complicated and so we invite those who find the day difficult for any reason to join with us. There is a time for joy and celebration, but we are also here for anyone struggling at this time of year.
Come and join Alice this Sunday, to celebrate and to support. We have flowers for everyone!
Bladon's service is at 9.30am this Sunday, and Woodstock's is at 11am.

This weekend we are celebrating Harvest in St Martin's and this is a great chance to support our local food banks and to see our special church decorations.
On Sunday 16th at 9.30am we have our Family Harvest Celebration and at 6.30pm a special Harvest Songs of Praise. Pop some extra non-perishable items in your weekly shopping basket and bring them along to either service.

If you're not able to make it this weekend, did you know we have a food bank collection box for you to leave your donations every day of the year? Just look for it at the back of church.

Our family service is back this Sunday at 9.30am.
One of our younger members, Theo (aged 5), has been set the challenge of raising money for charity. With a £2 investment he has bought baking ingredients and will be baking up his best biscuits on Saturday ready to sell after the service in St Martin's this Sunday, 17th June.

Please look out your shiniest 50ps and come along to our family service at 9.30am to support Theo's charitable work. (Bonus: free colouring with every biscuit). We are also inviting children to come along and help out with our Bible readings and prayers. All welcome.
