Connectionalism in the UMC in action

Zimbabwe West Annual Conference Lay Leader Advocate George Mhlanga delivered remarks on Sunday 5 July, 2026 at the ended Chiringanyanza RRW Convention.

This address by the conference lay leader while in UKD shows the connectionalism of the United Methodist Church which allows for a member of one conference or district to fellowship in another without issues.

CHIRINGANYANZA REVIVAL — STANDING IN THE GAP FOR THE NATIONS

At the Chiringanyanza Revival, United Kingdom District Superintendent, Rev KH Mudambanuki, led the church in a heartfelt prayer for Zimbabwe, while also remembering the challenges affecting our (Zimbabwean) people in South Africa and those impacted by the earthquake in Venezuela.

The Chiringanyanza convention was not only a time of revival, worship and celebration, it was also a place of intercession. We stood together, believing God for peace, protection, healing and restoration across nations. 🙏🏾🕊️🇿🇼

Chiringanyanza RRW Convention Embracing Technology
