Funeral Arrangements for Fr Val Farrell

The Bishop’s Office has confirmed the Funeral Arrangements for Fr Val Farrell, long standing Priest of our Diocese and of Holy Family Blackpool.
Reception of the Body/Deanery Mass – Wednesday 9th September 7pm
Holy Family, Blackpool, FY1 2RU
Requiem Mass - Thursday 10th September at 11.30am also at
Holy Family.

May he rest in peace.

Apologies, everyone, that there has been no live-stream of Mass today (Sunday 9th August).

This is because there was no power at all in the church this morning! Everything looked OK with the fuses and circuit breakers so, I called the electrical suppliers and they sent out an engineer to look at the problem.

It turns out that the fault is with the main electrical cable feeding the church. This has become broken - somewhere along the path from the sacristy door to the front of church. They will come today to effect a repair.

Please God, we should have power again after today, when service should resume as normal!
