😶THE POWER OF WORDS
They can heal or destroy, build or break, speak life or spread fear.
“The tongue also is a fire…” —James 3:6
“Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” — Proverbs 12:18
Last Sunday, we were reminded that our words are not small in the eyes of God. What flows out of our mouths reveals what fills our hearts.
“For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” — Luke 6:45
📣Your words reveal what rules your heart
📣 Your words create environment
📣 Your words reveal whose voice you believe
As followers of Christ, we are called to speak differently:
✨ Words filled with grace
✨ Truth spoken in love
✨ Encouragement that builds people up
✨ Faith instead of fear
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up…” — Ephesians 4:29
“Speaking the truth in love…” — Ephesians 4:15
Even in the wilderness, God responded to the words of His people: “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘Very truly I tell you, as surely as I live… I will do to you the very thing I heard you say.’” — Numbers 14:28
May we become people whose words reflect the heart of Jesus.
May our speech bring healing, hope, truth, and life to everyone around us.
