1. CROSSING THE JORDAN
No matter how long the journey of life may be, the greatest joy is to become part of a successful people. Though many people left Egypt and died on the way in the wilderness, some people stood at the bank of the River Jordan and waited to cross the river. How beautiful it would be when we also get to Crystal River and are welcomed as the Victorious Church, what would have been the joy of everyone getting to this point? The Israelites on the verge of Jordan were welcomed by Moses, a Priest, and Levites with the saying "Today O Israel you become the People of God." They were ready to pass through Jordan as those who wanted to be Baptised once and for all, to enter into a new life, to have a new intent, intending to have it last till death. But the implication is opening a new record after the closure of the old and every sin after crossing Jordan counts because the punishment follows immediately. As Moses charged the people that they should be watchful and to keep the relationship with God, likewise we were charged at baptism to keep our new life as a born again christians; but many failed in their vows to God. The church rules must be maintained by the church ministers, saints, and adherent members of the church, because they will be judged on any actions after baptism. The people who think right in the church like Simeon, Levi, Judah, Joseph, and Benjamin will be blessed and rejoice with us when we do well. But the unfaithful and crooked people like Rueben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali the drunk, liars, and fornicators as mentioned by Moses will follow their gangs in the church. But the principle of God remains, the ministers will continue to raise their voices to condemn the evil deeds in the church. The time we accepted Jesus Christ does not really matter but to keep our faith till the end. Only Caleb and Joshua were the only surviving people out of those that left Egypt, they made it after all the huddles, we also need to strive till we cross the Crystal River to heaven. May we be part of those who will be successful in Jesus.
2. SINS OF THE HOLY NATION
The judgment will come on individuals according to the principle of God, no one will escape from the judgment of God. Prophet Amos mentioned many gentile nations with their sins and God says they will not go unpunished. Today the available ones among them are reduced to zero-level nations. We need to be careful as the church and the nation for no sinner will go unpunished. He mentioned the Holy Nation, which is the Christians, those who had surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, the Holy Nation, the Royal Priesthood, and Peculiar People who enjoy the relationship of God like that of father to son. The Prophet exposed their sins, Judah did not keep the Commandments, and Israel sold righteous people for silver, they followed worldly things, worshipped other gods, made Nazarites drink wine, and told the Prophet not to prophesy. These were mentioned against the Holy Nations and all these are still in the church today; the church left evangelism to get together, and the Convention has become an avenue for fund-raising, food distribution, and meeting of old friends. We follow worldly dressings and music. The demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit is far away from today's church, the ministers will pray for long for the people to receive the Holy Spirit upon the church yet only scanty people will be filled, while few give testimonies of what the Lord did for them. We need to pray that the experience of the suffering of Israel and Judah may not be our portion. God is not a partial Judge He also passed judgment on an individual according to the principle of God, no one will escape from the judgment of God. God is not a respecter of anyone or any position, an individual will stand before the judgment throne. I pray we will not receive condemnation in Jesus' name.
3. UNSTOPPABLE JESUS
Many people have tried to stop the propagation of the gospel but all to no avail. People who sank the Bible later come back to read and understand it properly, and the nations that opposed the gospel thirst for it until they have its fullness. Jesus told the Pharisees who wanted him to run away that He is unstoppable, He says tell that little fox that I am busy doing healing and casting out the demons today, tomorrow and next tomorrow I will perfect it and no one was able to stop Him. Indeed, He perfected His ministry because He says that when next to Jerusalem will be with glory and power. The gospel is unstoppable, for He has promised to be with us to the uttermost part of the world. Where the gospel is disallowed today, it's a matter of time before they will soon allow Christ to rule the affairs of their nations. Nigeria will soon be governed by the Lord Jesus Christ; then all will know that Jesus is unstoppable. He is the ruler of the universe.
