Good morning on this special day. Here is a beautiful, traditional prayer for the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. You can pray this to ask for her guidance and peace.

Opening Prayer
Immaculate Virgin, by your holy birth, you brought joy to the entire world, for from you arose the Sun of Justice, Christ our God. He destroyed the curse and brought us blessing; He conquered death and gave us eternal life.Heavenly Father, as we celebrate the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we thank You for the gift of her life. Through her loving 'yes' to Your will, salvation entered the world. We ask for her powerful intercession today. Holy Mother, look upon us with your maternal love, guide our steps closer to your Son, and bring peace to our hearts and families.

Petition
Mary, full of grace, please pray for my special intentions... (mention your personal requests here). Help me to imitate your humility, your deep faith, and your obedience to God's word. Guard me under your mantle of protection, now and at the hour of my death.

Concluding Prayers
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Another opportunity to attend Mass in Blackpool today.

Each Monday Fr Simon celebrates Mass at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital Chapel at 4pm.

All are always welcome, you do not need to be working in the hospital or be a patient to come along.

You can find the Chapel by entering through the main entrance of the hospital near the multi-storey car park; take the escalator and then take the first corridor on your right signposted 'Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care Centre', the Chapel is at the end of the corridor. Volunteer guides are available at the main entrance if you need help.

At 6pm, Holy Hour at St Kentigern’s.
