LOL 2001 Blackpool Faith Defenders LOL 2001 is an Loyal Orange Lodge in Blackpool, established in 2001. The Orange Order is a Protestant fraternity with membership all over the world.

The Loyal Orange Institution, more commonly known as the Orange Order, is a Protestant fraternal organisation based primarily in the United Kingdom with Grand Lodges and members throughout the world. Our name comes from William III, Prince of Orange, and is kept because his victory over despotic power laid the foundation for the evolution of Constitutional Democracy in the British Isles. or William of Orange in the British Isles led to the formation of Orange Societies to commemorate his victory at the Battle of the Boyne in July 1690. In 1795, following the culmination of attacks on Protestants in County Armagh at the Battle of the Diamond, in which Protestants routed those who had attacked them and attempted to burn properties, it was decided to form an organisation which would protect Protestants. This body, drawing on existing Orange Clubs in the neighbourhood, was named the Loyal Orange Institution. In modern times the Loyal Orange Institution continues to function, with thousands of members in the United Kingdom and many others across the world. Today defending Protestantism is not so literal as it was in 1795, but it requires us to take a stand for truth in an age of secularism and in order to defend our culture and traditions. Blackpool Faith Defenders were established in 2001. We hope you will learn more about us and the Orange tradition through this page.

25 Years of Faithful Service

Muster: 15:15pm
Start: 15:30pm

Behind the The Metropole Hotel

Led by;

Heroes of the Somme Flute Band

The parade will proceed to the
Blackpool Cenotaph War Memorial
for a Short Act of Remembrance:

• Wreath Laying

• Lodge Addresses

• Two-Minute Silence

The procession will then proceed along the Promenade to
South Pier South Shore

where it will conclude.

The Gallant Pioneer, Station Road

An afternoon and evening of harmony, music and fellowship

as we celebrate this notable milestone. All Brethren, Sisters, and supporters are respectfully invited.

Pride Of The Bann will be hosting our “Evening of Culture” in the Manor Hotel, Ballymoney on Saturday 28th March 🎶 🇬🇧

Bands and full schedule will be confirmed soon.

On the night there will be:
• sets from some great bands
• POTB merchandise on sale
• raffle with some top prizes
• DJ playing the best loyal tunes and chart favourites

Make sure to come along for what’s set to be a brilliant night. We look forward to seeing you all there!
