Luke 8 verse 1-11

“THE SEED IS THE WORD OF GOD” (Verse 11)

As look take another look at Fruitfulness, we take a look at the parable of the sower as he went ahead sowing.
Luke described four types of soils where the seed fell and their respective outcomes.

As we have prepared our hearts over the last couple of weeks to receive (just like the farmer tills his soil in preparation for the planting season), we must then take an extra effort to plant: TO PLANT THE SEED.

This week, take charge, STUDY THE WORD (the SEED), get the right word for every event in your life: get the word and declare it.

SOW THAT SEED AND WATCH IT GROW

As we continue on the subject of fruitfulness this month we consider the parable of Jesus in Matthew 13:1-8 and take our except from verse 8 where Jesus said:

“But other fell on a good ground, and brought forth fruit, some hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold”

First lesson learnt: we need GOOD GROUND. Where do we invest? Where do we put our treasures? May our eyes be open to see the right place to cast our treasures.

Secondly, there are levels of fruitfulness: 30s, 60s and 100s. The key here is contentment no matter what number of fruits we are bearing.

Having sown, in the right place, we pray that we are all able to declare in unison; “I am fruitful” in Jesus name (Amen)

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
Rejoice evermore
Pray without ceasing
I’m everything, give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

As we set out this year, 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 reminds us of what should be our core attribute this year.
Rejoicing evermore, praying always, and giving thanks in all as this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us.

Our thanksgiving shouldn’t be reserved for a single day: we encourage you therefore to thank Him when something perfect/imperfect happens to you, to thank Him in the face of discouragement, to thank Him when in grief, sorrows or sadness, to thank Him when you’re emotionally drained and no matter what the situation might be, to thank Him always.

Thus, we encourage you this day to make thanksgiving your watchword and as you do so, remember to thank God for others and the support system He has given you.
