GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT

Ephesians 4:30-32
[30]And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
[31]Let all BITTERNESS, and WRATH , and ANGER, and CLAMOUR , and EVIL SPEAKING, be put away from you, with all MALICE:
[32]And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

-Your seal of preservation is by the Holy Spirit. Do not break that seal.

-Verse31 enumerates bad habits that can grieve the Holy spirit and further break your seal of preservation.

-Take note that all those bad habits have one thing in common and that thing is: Our emotional display towards other people.

-How you treat your spouse(husband or wife), children, subordinates, colleagues, friends, and everyone around you matters so much to your walk with the Holy Spirit and your preservation.

RECEIVE THE GRACE TO OVERCOME EVERY NEGATIVE HABIT AFFECTING YOUR LIFE.

*HOW STRONG IS YOUR LOVE FOR GOD?*

John 21:15
[15]So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

-After they have had a sumptuous diner, Jesus asked Peter, 'Do you love me more than the dinner we have just had?'
-Why would Jesus juxtapose Peter's love for Him with his appetite or love for food? That's because appetite is the only thing that stands between you and your love for God. Appetite breeds every other lust that opposes your love for God.
- How strong is your love for God? Is your love for Him strong enough to draw you away from appetite in this season? Is your love for Him strong enough to pull you away from lust and other addictions?

HOLY SPIRIT FILL ME WITH YOUR LOVE. LET YOUR LOVE CONSUME MY HEART.

CLOTHED WITH THE GARMENT OF FIRE

Luke 3:16
[16]John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

- The word baptism means emersion. When a foam is immersed in a fluid and is brought out, it emerges fully saturated, covered and impregnated with that fluid.
- In like manner, when you are immersed into the fire; you submerged deep into it until it permeates through your entire being, and then you emerge as fire.
- Fire is the source of light; it burns, it consumes and it purifies. Fire can render great service or destruction depending on how it is used.
- The Holy Ghost fire will render great service to you and the church but great destruction to hell.
- When you are immersed into the Holy Ghost fire, everything contrary to God will die from you. Only the supernatural will be left.

MAY THE LORD GRANT YOU HUNGER FOR THE FIRE.

CLOTHED WITH THE GARMENT OF LIGHT-2.

Matthew 17:1-2
[1]And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
[2]And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

Ecclesiastes 8:1
[1]Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.

Acts 4:13
[13]Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Exodus 34:35
[35]And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

2 Corinthians 3:18
[18]But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

CLOTHED WITH THE GARMENT OF LIGHT

Psalms 104:1-2
[1]Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
[2]Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

1 Timothy 6:16
[16]Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Colossians 2:10
[10]AND YE ARE COMPLETE IN HIM, which is the head of all principality and power:

Romans 13:12
[12]The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and LET US PUT ON THE ARMOUR OF LIGHT.

1 John 2:9
[9]He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

CLOTHED WITH JESUS CHRIST

Romans 13:14
[14]But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

- PUT YE ON in the above scripture can be rephrased as BE CLOTHED WITH; not by. It literally means be clothed with our Lord Jesus Christ: wear Jesus Christ as a garment.
- How do you wear our Lord as a garment? By sinking yourself into His character just as you would sink yourself into your garment or under your duvet.
- Garment is for covering, protection, beauty, and so on. In same way, the characters of our Lord will cover, protect and beautify you as you put them on.
- Whenever you are faced with a situation, ask yourself what would my Lord Jesus have done?

YOU WILL NOT FALL, YOU WILL NOT FAIL AND YOU WILL NOT BE ASHAMED.

YOUR WEAKNESS WILL BECOME YOUR STRENGTH

Isaiah 60:22
[22]A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

- God is a Master Strategist and He is turning your inadequacy, insufficiency and deficiency into something extraordinarily strong.

- Your weakness will become your strength.

- God is increasing and multiplying you geometrically; your present status multiplied by a thousand.

Deuteronomy 1:11
[11](The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!).

THE WAY DOWN IS THE WAY UP

1 Samuel 15:17
[17]And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?

- Humility is a scarce commodity in our today's world where pride and arrogance are mistaken for confidence.
- Saul was made king when he thought himself little: when he was willing to obey God rather than impress the people. Immediately he became king, he became proud and pompous; he then remembered he had a reputation to protect and was willing to disobey God in order to impress the people around him. His pride denied him of his kingship.
- When you choose to obey God rather than impress people, it may seem like you are sinking temporarily, but in reality; you are rising ultimately. Be aware that the way down is the way up.

[20]But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
[21]If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
[22]Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
