This Friday, we are honoured to welcome Sheikh Abdel Nasser Harak (Egypt) for a truly special recitation of the Qur’an before Jummah Salah.

There are moments when the Qur’an is not only heard by the ears, but felt deeply within the heart. Join us for what promises to be a beautiful, heart-touching recitation — a recitation that touches the soul, softens the heart and reminds us of the beauty and power of the words of Allah. 🤍

⚠️ SOLAR ECLIPSE SAFETY REMINDER 🌒☀️

As we witness one of the magnificent signs of Allah today, please remember:

DO NOT look directly at the sun during the eclipse.

Even a brief look can cause serious and permanent damage to your eyesight, and ordinary sunglasses do not provide adequate protection.

👁️ Protect yourself and your family
🕶️ Only use certified solar eclipse viewing glasses
👧 Keep a particularly close eye on children
📷 Do not look through cameras, binoculars or telescopes without the correct solar filters
🤲 Use this special time for Salah, du‘a, dhikr and seeking Allah’s forgiveness

The Prophet ﷺ taught us that the sun and moon are from the signs of Allah and that when we witness an eclipse, we should turn to Allah in prayer.

🕰️ Asar Salah – 7:15pm
🤲 Individual worship thereafter until the eclipse clears

Your eyesight is an Amanah — protect it.
Rather than staring at the eclipse, let us spend this time looking towards Allah through worship, reflection and repentance.

In a time where division is being fuelled, hatred is being stirred, and people are often encouraged to focus on what separates us, we choose to call for something better.

We may come from different backgrounds, speak different languages, and follow different faiths, but beneath it all, we are human. We all know love. We all feel pain. We all hope for safety, dignity, and a better future for our families.

Our differences should never become a reason to disrespect, dehumanise, or harm one another. They should be an opportunity to listen, learn, and build understanding.

At Masjid É Saliheen, we stand for mercy, kindness, justice, and respect for all. We call on our community to reject hatred in every form and to be people who bring calm where there is anger, unity where there is division, and compassion where there is pain.

Our shared humanity is greater than our differences.
