HOSPITAL CHAPLAINCY

The Church played a major role in patient care in the Middle Ages teaching that it was part of a Christian’s religious duty to care for the sick, and it was the Church which provided hospital care. Thankfully today we have the NHS providing that care. Coming into hospital can be a worrying and stressful time, chaplains are available to everyone who may benefit from support whilst a patient – but we need your help!
The Chaplaincy Team can provide pastoral, spiritual, religious and cultural needs for patients, relatives and staff. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

If you know of anyone from your community who would value support from the Chaplains, please contact the Chaplaincy Office on 01254 733632 or
for further details of what we can do to support you, please email [email protected]
