We continue to showcase events happening during our centenary mission weekend in parishes across Lancashire.

There are so many different ways you can enjoy our three days of mission between September 11-13 and this one charts a century of change while Christ, and the hope we have in him, has remains constant throughout.

Come and visit the local history exhibition in our hall (the old Earnshaw Bridge School) on Saturday 12th Sept from 10-4.

As well as the main exhibition there will be:
* Dance show by The Collective Studio (approx 10.30)
* Vintage buses
* Local community support organisations’ stalls
* Free refreshments

NB sorry no parking on site.

As part of the our celebrations for the centenary, we are hosting a 'Walk of Witness' during the Parish Weekend.

Here is the route. All stops will be sign posted and you are welcome to join us for all or just a small part of the walk, whatever feels right for you!

We will end the walk back at The Venue to celebrate!

A week today we begin our three day Centenary Mission Weekend across Lancashire; one of the largest coordinated mission events ever held in the County.

BBC Radio Lancashire is covering the build-up, with Steve Haskett, our Director of Mission, speaking to presenter Joe Wilson this Sunday to talk in more detail about what's happening and why.

What's happening?

Our parishes are holding all kinds of wonderful events and services.

The 'why'?

We want to reach as many people as possible with the news of the hope we all have in Jesus.

The deadline for nominations for General Synod is approaching - nominations close at 5pm next Monday, September 7.

Nominations are open for people interested in serving on the Church of England's national governing body.

Members can help shape the Church's future and serve for a five-year term.

You could be eligible and we are especially encouraging younger people and those from underrepresented groups to get involved.
