Everyone at North Blackburn would like to send their well wishes to the team at Brownhill Playgroup. It is wonderful to see the playgroup still thriving 60 years on.
The playgroup was founded by members of the then Brownhill URC Church including Barbara Charleston and Joan Gill. Over the years Enid Stainton and Eileen Richardson also worked there. These ladies attended church here for many years and are much loved and fondly remembered members.
The playgroup became independent over the years and continued to be known at Brownhill Playgroup.
Viv and her team ( including Nicki Bloy a member of Tinity) have also given many years of service to the youngest members of the community. Viv has seen two generations of the same family come through the doors. I think Iβm right in saying itβs around 40years! So we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for providing such a wonderful experience for many children. She has been on the journey with us from the old school room to the new church hall and now the new phase connecting the buildings together. She came when we were Brownhill then transitioning to Trinity and now North Blackburn. There have been many changes! We are both still here and thriving!
We look forward to the next generation of playgroup with Kielie and her team at the helm and sincerely wish their continued success and look forward to celebrating the next 60 years πππ
We would love to hear from anyone who attended the playgroup or worked there throughout the years. If you have any photos it would be great to see them. β€οΈ
