We had a great time at Messy Church thinking about money, treasures and possessions. It was based on Mark 10.17-27, when Jesus meets a rich man who finds it impossible to give up everything he has.

In our prayers we thought about the meaning of 'Give us today our daily bread'. We thanked God for giving us what we need (not everything we might want!) and prayed that we might be generous to others.

Our Christian Aid café and plant sale is coming up on Saturday 16 May from 10am - 12.30pm at St Mary's .

So what were Jesus' last words? His very last words in the Gospel of Matthew are 'I am with you always.' He also told his disciples to go all over the world and make more disciples. If we're going to tell other people about Jesus, then we certainly need to remember that he is with us!

This month's Messy Church... In Ezekiel 37, God's word and breath / Spirit made the bones come to life! This could make us think of Easter, when Jesus died but came back to life through the power of the Holy Spirit. When things seem dry or lifeless, God is able to give us hope.
