This was a great event for all the circuit churches and community, celebrating nature and thinking about how we can 'care for our planet.' You can read more about it here :-)

Last month Chandlers Ford Methodist Church became a "Science Dome". The event was part of the Wi******er, Eastleigh and Romsey Circuit’s ‘Caring for our Planet’ community day to gather and think about how we care for our world, at the same time as celebrating nature and having fun together.

We will be joining St Andrew's Methodist Church and Chandlers Ford Methodist Church in our Lent course this year, looking at prayer. All welcome to join us on Monday evenings from 7.30-9pm over 6 weeks, starting this evening, at St Andrews. We will also be running the same session on Wednesdays from 2pm-3.30pm at Chandlers Ford Methodist Church. We look forward to seeing you there :-)

Sunshine and Showers - Prayer's beautiful messiness.

Throughout Lent we invite you to join us in thinking about prayer. A lot of us find it difficult - wonderful but also frustrating. Together we are going to use the 'Sunshine and showers' course to help us to pray. By the end of the six sessions, we hope to have gained:
- some fresh ways of thinking about prayer
- reassurance that while prayer is not straightforward, it is always good
- ideas for praying in different and creative ways
- confidence to journey alongside others in their prayer lives, even if it looks different to our own.

Join us for our first session tonight at St Andrew's Methodist Church from 7.30-9pm as we look at prayer as friendship. Sessions will take place over 6 weeks on Monday evenings, and be repeated at Chandlers Ford Methodist Church on Wednesdays from 2-3.30pm. No need to sign up - just come along to those that you can make :-).

This Sunday, 1st February we will be worshipping alongside our Anglican friends at St. Mary's Church in Bishopstoke. Although our church building in Sedgwick Road will be closed on that day, we warmly invite you to join us for this special joint service, which will include Holy Communion.

If you've not visited St. Mary's before, it's located on Church Road, opposite the BCA Centre. Use the post code SO50 6DL if you're using a sat nav.

We joined friends from St Andrew's Methodist Church today for our monthly Crafty Church at Sunnybank House Care Home and had a wonderful time. We sang hymns, heard readings and said prayers on the theme of Remembrance and praying for peace. Thank you to everyone at Sunnybank for the amazing welcome we receive each month - and well done to the residents for the beautiful Poppy wreaths which you made. We look forward to joining you next month to make Christingles! :-)

Every month there is a board game café at St Andrews Methodist church, opposite the Swan centre, and the next one is this Saturday from 3-5pm. There are tables set up in the church and lots of board games to choose from - snakes and ladders, draughts, ludo - or more modern games too. We also have a simple craft activity. At about 4pm there is a simple picnic style tea provided. The event is not too busy and is very relaxed and informal so feel free to drop in for part of or all of the time to give us a try. There is no charge - we just want to provide a space for people of all ages to come, with friends/family or on their own, for some company and an enjoyable afternoon. Thank you to those who came to our Christmas Eve Celebration this evening and, of course, to the Chandler's Ford Boys' Brigade Band for providing some wonderful accompaniment to our singing! It was great fun indeed.

Don't forget that our Christmas Day service begins at 10.00am. It's a shorter, informal family service which you are most welcome to attend.
