Christians sometimes fall into believing that they need to seek all kinds of new experiences in their Christian lives. Paul wrote a letter to a small church in Colossae to encourage them that if they'd received Jesus as Lord, they didn't need anything else. He is enough!

Over the next couple of months, we're going to walk through his letter to the Colossians, in our 5pm service.

Hope to see you...

How should God's grace transform our lives? For the next 3 Sunday mornings (10.30am) we'll learn, from Romans 12, how God's grace transforms the way we worship, use our gifts and love others.

Hope to see you there!

Have You Ever Wondered Why Everyone Is Talking About God?

In our uncertain world of pandemics, unceasing foreign conflicts, and economic rollercoasters, is there anything we can hold onto for peace and stability? A world without God might be appealing when everything is going well, but when we start looking looking for answers in tougher times, perhaps it's no surprise that God and spiritual things are back on the front burner of our society.

We meet as a church family every Sunday morning at 10.30am at Herts and Essex High School.

Everyone is very welcome to join us as we worship, pray, study God's word and enjoy fellowship together.

At the moment we're working our way through Luke's Gospel, one of the earliest eyewitness accounts of Jesus' life, death and resurrection in the Bible. We're meeting a man who is unique in human history, one who called people then, and still calls people today, to follow him.

So why not join us?

This Sunday will be our annual Mission Sunday.

Our morning service will be devoted to the subject of mission - Jesus' command to make disciples of all nations. We'll spend the first part of the service reflecting on our own salvation experience, then we'll look at how the good news of salvation through Jesus is spreading across the world today, and we'll finish, continuing our studies in Luke's Gospel, focusing on Jesus' call to his disciples to be 'fishers of men'.

So get ready for an encouraging, and hopefully challenging day!

Any new technology poses a couple of questions: What problem does it solve? What problems might it create? The AI revolution challenges us to return to these questions, but the speed of change might leave us feeling ill-equipped to do so.

We'll be hosting a Zoom seminar on Saturday 30th May (9.30-11.30am) to reflect on some of the key issues that underpin a Christian response to the AI revolution.

The seminar will be led by Richard Harknett, GLO Europe's Regional Training Director. Richard has a BSc in Chemistry, an MA in Theology, and has previously taught on ‘AI and Theology’ in Latin America.

Bible sales have increased by 134% since 2019! It appears that however much we try to ignore the Bible, it continues to intrigue us.

Sadly, so often the Bible is misunderstood and misapplied. The Bible Course is an 8 session small group resource which explores the big story of the Bible one step at a time. It includes video teaching, discussions, a reading plan and extra online content.

This Sunday at 5pm we'll be hosting the first of 8 sessions of The Bible Course. If you're interested in understanding the Bible for yourself you'd be very welcome to join us. Send us a message and we can give you all the details.
