Onecommunity Organisations One Community Organisation caters to the needs of the Muslim Deaf community and young people with sp One Community Organisation is based in Digbeth, Birmingham.

We cater to the needs of the Muslim Deaf community and young people with special educational needs. We have a community centre, where we have regular Islamic lectures which we record to produce our own educational Islamic DVD’s. These DVD’s are based on some of the most important topics, such as ‘Wudu’, ‘Salah’ ‘Love of the Prophet’ and many more, which are translated with British Sign Language an

d Subtitles. Our community centre is also the hub of the Muslim Deaf community; it is place where they can come for help and advice, counselling for specific difficulties they are facing, we also provide help and support to families who are facing either social or domestic difficulties. One Community Special School, is a weekend school, and caters to young children, with learning difficulties and disabilities. We teach Islamic studies, stories from the Qur’an, and Arabic, to the most vulnerable children in our community.

Concerning the concerns raised by the Charity Commission about finances, it is simply because we didn’t have a business bank card which we did apply for so we had to use a person bank card to pay interpreters and expenses. All bank statements has been given to the charity Commission and they have accepted them and the charity remains.
