Another busy day on the pilgrimage...

The pilgrimage continues apace and we have been blessed with superb weather (albeit very hot!)

Pilgrims are taking part in all that Lourdes has to offer.

Hundreds of photographs are now online charting our day-by-day activities. Including today's International Mass and Diocesan Photograph, plus yesterday's Torchlight Procession, Reconciliation Service and Opening Mass.

In a few days’ time hundreds of pilgrims from across the Archdiocese of Birmingham will journey to Lourdes.

This year’s Diocesan Pilgrimage, the 84th to Lourdes, starts on Monday (25).

Around 570 pilgrims are taking part in this year’s spiritual journey, embracing the theme "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee."

Please pray for our pilgrims next week, as they will be praying for you.

You can follow the pilgrimage day-by-day on the diocesan website:

The annual Blessing of Hands Mass, a prelude to the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes, has taken place here at St Chad's Cathedral.

Hundreds of people attended the Diocesan Mother Church yesterday, Sunday, to have their hands blessed for whatever ministry they may be involved in.

Various groups were represented and will be joining children and young adults from our schools, parishes and youth groups, to serve in Lourdes during the half-term holiday.

Please pray for our pilgrims, as they will be praying for you.
