Mortimer Environmental Ltd, our ecologists, were on site yesterday carefully checking for bats before work commences on the building. As bats are a protected species and easily disturbed we have to ensure that we do everything we can not to affect roosts and flight paths during the work. Did you know that we have five different species of bat in and around our churchyard? Common Pipistrelle, Soprano Pipistrelle, Nathusius' Pipistrelle, Noctule and the Brown Long-eared bat.

After a gap of ten years, the Festival is back this year. Held in and around St Nicolas Church with lots of fundraising stalls. If you are a local community organisation and would like a stall please drop us a DM. We are not accepting craft stalls but there will be a craft fair later in the year.
