Encounter Church Encounter Church is a vibrant Elim Pentecostal Church. Join us every Sunday at 11am for service.

Elim Church Selly Oak was founded in 1936, born out of Birmingham's Pentecostal Revival of the 1930s. The church first met in people's homes and then in the Institute building on Bristol Road before moving to a permanent site in Alton Road. Today, we meet at Encounter Church on Exeter Road (2006 was the building's 100th anniversary and the church's 70th anniversary).

Who knew a simple game of “Name That Gargle” could be this entertaining? From very confident performances to some interesting attempts at guessing the tune… safe to say, some songs survived the gargle better than others! 🤣💧🎶
