Darul Qurra and Islamic Research Centre Promoting a Brighter Future The Library will contain books on various topics in English, Arabic and Urdu as well as a quite reading and study area.

Our aim is to deliver a range of facilities for the Muslim and non-Muslim community of Birmingham, drawing on our Islamic values and heritage, with a view to improving quality of life and enhancing community cohesion. The Mosque will provide Muslims and non-Muslims with the opportunity to learn and understand Islam, through dialogue, discussion and social interaction. The Darul Qu

The Library will help promote personal and professional growth in the Muslim community, contributing to an enhanced and educated community with great social, cultural and spiritual values. The Darul Qurra Research Centre will aim to produce up to date academic literature on significant topics of concern in the community, whilst supporting research activities for the advancement of knowledge in the Muslim community. The Research Centre will also be aiming to produce academic journals and books on key contemporary issues.

Join us on Saturday 29th August 2026 for the annual sisterโ€™s Mawlid commemorating the life of our beloved Muhammad (PBUH).

Our esteemed guest of honour is Ustadha Shareefah Al Maqbouly Al-Husaini.

The programme will begin at 2:30pm at Darul Qurra (26 Oakwood rd, B11 4HA).

When it comes to teaching the Qurโ€™an, the foundation lies in correct pronunciation, and that starts with how we teach the Arabic letters. Unfortunately, the most common method used today is outdated and ineffective.

The laws of inheritance are among the most important aspects of Islamic knowledge, preserving justice, protecting family ties, and ensuring that the rights ordained by Allah are fulfilled.
