We had a great time at our all-in Treehouse service today: singing, reading the bible, listening to poems and making art!

We celebrated Jesus' birth and thought about how God sent Jesus to be the King of his Kingdom.

We explored the ways Jesus was a very different kind of King and how his kingdom is a very different kind of kingdom: one based on service, humility, justice and peace.

With so much horror, suffering and turmoil in the world today, we pray for Jesus' kingdom to come soon and that we might be able to show it to others through how we live today.

"Give glory to God in Heaven, on earth let there be peace"

Our Kids Club are learning about the creation story in Genesis one at the moment. So far we've covered: separating light from darkness, making sun, moon and stars, separating land and sea, and filling the land with plants!

Have you seen our new artwork, made by Kids Club children and teachers during half term? We've put it in the window so other people can enjoy it too!

If you're walking down Institute Road, see if you can spot the tiny little boat caught up in the stormy sea but found by the light from the lighthouse

The words are from Psalm 46 "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble"

Merry Christmas from everyone at Kings Heath!

We’ve been sharing food, bags of blessings, carols and remembering when it all started with the birth of Jesus.

We hope and pray that whatever today looks like it brings you joy and peace.

Luke 2:10-14

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

Starting our service today remembering the life and service of Queen Elizabeth II.

Thinking of her many Christmas speeches and her faithful life.
