Maestro David Briggs will be playing his organ concert as part of the Pearson Organists Concert Series at St Alban's Church, 7.30pm on September 19th 2026.

Here is the link to tickets!

There will be a Reception Buffet with David after his concert.

An exciting day is planned, with David Briggs directing a 'Come and Sing' Choral Evensong in the afternoon.

Choral Workshop with David Briggs 3.00 - 4.15pm

Free Admission to the choral workshop and Evensong.
Early booking is recommended for the Choral Workshop as places are limited.
Applications are on a strictly first-come-first-serve basis - we expect this event to be very popular so please don't delay!

The link to purchase tickets to David Briggs' evening organ concert at St Alban's Church, Conybere Street, Birmingham on Saturday 19th September has just gone live!! 🎉🎹🎹🎹🎉

In the afternoon, on Saturday 19th September 2026, the legendary David Briggs will direct a 'Come and Sing' Choral Workshop which will lead into a service of Choral Evensong.

Music will include Stanford in Bb and Parry 'I was glad' and promises to be a fun event for all.

St Alban's Church , Conybere Street music list for June 2026.

There is much to look forward to this month.

Following the Feast of Corpus Christi on Thursday, the organ will be out of action for two weeks, as essential organ work is carried out to ensure continued reliability of our organ, ahead of our organ restoration work, whilst the keyboard contact blocks are replaced.

We are grateful to choir member and Birmingham Conservatoire undergraduate, first study pianist, Amy Cox for playing the Sunday voluntaries over the next two weeks, whilst the organ is out of action.

Amy is also playing a free piano recital here at St Alban's Church on Sunday 7th June at 6.00pm, to which all are welcome.
There will be a Retiring Collection for our Organ Appeal.

St Alban's Patronal Festival is celebrated on Saturday 27th June. There Rt Rev'd Rowan Williams will be preaching and we welcome back Aled Liddington, former Director of Music at St Alban's Church, who will be organist for this service. Our parish patronal lunch will follow this service.

At 3.00pm on Saturday 27th June, Organist Tim Hone will play this months Pearson Organists Concert.
(Please note the time of Tim's concert)

Tim will also be playing for 10am Mass and 6pm Solemn Choral Evensong and Benediction.
