The Prophet ﷺ taught us that strength includes controlling ourselves when angry (*Sahih al-Bukhari 6114*).

Reflect on *Al-Halīm (ٱلْحَلِيمُ), The Most Forbearing*. Be patient with yourself and others as you work on your character.

Worried about what comes next?

Allah ﷻ reminds us that every creature’s provision is with Him (Surah Hud 11:6). Tawakkul means making an effort while trusting Allah with the outcome.

How are you using the time Allah ﷻ has given you?

It is easy to think there will always be another day to pray more, learn more, give more or become closer to Allah ﷻ.

But the Prophet ﷺ reminded us: "There are two blessings that many people are deceived into losing: health and free time." (Sahih al-Bukhari 6412)

And if you have recently accepted Islam, remember that you do not need to know everything immediately.

Take your time learning. Build your salah. Read the Qur'an. Ask questions. Find people who can support you.

Islam is not about changing everything overnight. It is about continuing to turn towards Allah ﷻ.

Reflect on Al-Muhyī (ٱلْمُحْيِي), The Giver of Life.

Every day you are given is another opportunity.

Do not keep putting your journey with Allah off until tomorrow.

Have you ever made the same du’a for so long that you started wondering if it would ever be answered?

This Jumu’ah, remember what Allah ﷻ tells us:

*“I am truly near. I respond to the call of the caller when they call upon Me.”*

*(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:186)*

You do not need perfect words when you turn to Allah ﷻ. Tell Him what you are struggling with. Ask Him for what you need. Turn to Him when you have nowhere else to turn.

Reflect on *As-Samīʿ (ٱلسَّمِيعُ), The All-Hearing* — the One who hears every call and knows what is left unspoken.

Keep making du’a, even when the answer has not come yet.

And don’t forget the Sunnahs of Jumu’ah: ghusl, clean clothes, going early to the masjid, listening attentively to the Khutbah, giving sadaqah, and increasing your du’a and salawat.

Every journey towards Allah ﷻ begins with a single step.

For some, that step is embracing Islam and discovering a new path filled with faith, hope and purpose.

Islam is a reminder that our past does not define us. When a person turns to Allah ﷻ sincerely, He opens the door to a new beginning filled with His mercy and forgiveness.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Do you not know that Islam wipes out what came before it?”

(Sahih Muslim 121)

Allah ﷻ’s mercy is always greater than our mistakes.

Whether you are beginning your journey in Islam or continuing to grow in faith, every step towards Allah matters.

May Allah ﷻ guide our hearts, strengthen our īmān and keep us firm upon His path.

For Jim, being Muslim isn't only about working towards Jannah for yourself.

It's about helping others get there too.

Check on the brother you haven't spoken to in a while.
Support your community.
Make time for someone who needs it.

Because sometimes the greatest fulfilment comes from what you do for someone else.

As Jim puts it:

"You can buy a Lamborghini, you can buy a Ferrari… you won't get the feeling in your heart that you get from helping someone else."

A reminder that success isn't only about what you have.

It's also about what you give.

🌙 Every believer walks a different journey. Some need guidance, some need support, and some simply need a reminder that they are not alone. This Jumu'ah, reflect on the mercy, compassion and care we show towards one another for the sake of Allah ﷻ.

🕌 Follow the Sunnah of Jumu'ah by performing ghusl, wearing clean clothes, going early to the masjid, listening attentively to the Khutbah, giving sadaqah, and increasing your du'a and salawat.

🤍 Reflect on Al-Wadūd (The Most Loving). Allah ﷻ’s love surrounds His servants and teaches us to show kindness, mercy and compassion towards those around us.

Before Islam, Jim says he felt lost.

He was drinking, smoking, struggling with college and had no real direction for where his life was going.

Then he became Muslim.

He gave up drinking, started leaving smoking behind, went to university to study engineering and began building a life with purpose.

For Jim, the Qur'an became a guide for how to live.

Sometimes people only see the restrictions in Islam.

They don't always see the direction, discipline and purpose it can bring.
