Because a Shahadah should never be the end of the support.

Becoming Muslim doesn’t mean becoming perfect overnight.

For many new Muslims, there can be pressure from family, friends or even themselves to suddenly “have it all together”.

But Islam is a way of life.

You will learn.
You will grow.
You will make mistakes.
And you will keep trying.

As Olly explains in this clip from Revert Voices, being Muslim is not about pretending you never fall short.

It’s about waking up each day, trying to become better, returning to Allah and continuing to move forward.

Start with yourself.
Focus on your foundations.
And don’t let unrealistic expectations overwhelm your journey.

Some du'as stay with you.

In this clip from Revert Voices Podcast, Olly shares one he tries to say every day:

اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو، فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

"O Allah, I hope for Your mercy. Do not leave me in charge of myself even for the blink of an eye, and set all of my affairs right. There is no deity except You."

A powerful reminder that we are always in need of Allah's help, guidance and mercy.

No matter how strong, capable or independent we think we are, we should never feel that we can manage everything by ourselves.

🌙 Some blessings arrive quietly. Some lessons only become clear with time. But Allah ﷻ knows every detail, even before we understand it. Let this Jumu'ah be a moment to pause, reflect and trust in His wisdom.

🕌 Follow the Sunnah of Jumu'ah by performing ghusl, wearing clean clothes, going early to the masjid, listening attentively to the Khutbah, and increasing your du'a and salawat.

🤍 Reflect on Az-Zaahir (the Perceptible). His signs are all around us, reminding us that what is unclear to us is never unclear to Allah ﷻ.

The moment before accepting Islam wasn't calm.

Olly remembers sitting there surrounded by brothers, nervous, overthinking everything.

His family. His mum. People at work. What everyone would say.

He says it felt almost like a job interview, everyone knew what was about to happen, but no one quite knew what to say.

Then eventually, he took the step.

Looking back now, Alhamdulillah, he describes it as the beginning of a journey that changed his life.

Sometimes the biggest decisions come with the most fear.
