Oasis Church Birmingham

Oasis Church Birmingham Oasis is about two things: Loving God, and Loving People. We are people who are passionate about loving God and passionate about loving people!

We think that church should feel like home; a place to feel safe, welcomed, accepted, that’s fun, messy, real and where there is always room.

Line dancing has been hugely popular in country-western bars and social clubs across the States for years, but more recently has seen growth in the UK too. The repeated pattern of steps makes them easy dances to pick up, and suitable for those who have never danced before, right up to seasoned two-steppers!

At the July 3rd South Street Social, experienced local line dancer, Emily, will be teaching a variety of modern and traditional line dances. These will be suitable for complete beginners and improvers, and you are free to join in with as much or as little as you are comfortable with. The Oasis Café will be selling soft drinks and snacks, and there will be plenty of seating round the edge of the dance floor for those who need a break from the boot stepping!

Doors open at 7:30pm for a 7:45pm start to the teaching, and tickets cost £5 via the link below!

As a reminder, there are NO MEETINGS at South Street today, with many from Oasis away at the Catalyst Festival.

Next Sunday, it's an Oasis TOGETHER Sunday, with ONE meeting from 11am (please note the slightly later start time!) to celebrate Baptisms together. The morning will finish off with a Bring & Share Lunch too, giving lots of space for the whole community to connect.

Due to the need to lay the room out differently to fit everyone in, the livestream for the Together Sunday will be Audio Only - apologies for any inconvenience.

This weekend is the Catalyst Festival! A crew from Oasis will be heading over to Norfolk for a time of connection with our wider church family. There'll be stories, worship, teaching, seminars, creative sessions, loads of fun and games, and plenty of time to hang out! Oh, and the weather looks glorious ☀️

As a reminder, this means that there will be NO MEETINGS at South Street on Sunday 24th May. Next Sunday, 31st May, will be the next Oasis Together Sunday, with ONE meeting from 11am for baptisms, plus a Bring & Share Lunch.

In a world where competing demands prioritise accomplishments and achievements, it's a revolutionary act to carve out a space to simply come and meet with God, devoting time to worshipping Him with no agenda.

This is a place to come and do that.

On Wednesday 20th May, from 7:30pm, there'll be lots of time given to meeting with God, celebrating in Him, seeking His presence, hearing His voice, and enjoying His gifts. All are welcome, whether you worship regularly at Oasis or not, and the evening is hosted at the church building on South Street.
