HAS FAILED ME
Out on a Friday evening for my regular evangelism and sharing of tracts, I saw a lady, seductively dressed to kill and I decided to give her one of my favourites, “The choice is yours”. She resented me and rejected the tract. I asked why she so much hated God like this. She said, ”you won’t understand”. I said make me understand. She said, “God has failed me”. I asked how? I was born into a modest Christian home. My dad had an altar in his room where we all rallied together 6am every morning for prayer meeting before any other thing each day. My dad was very close to God and had the habit of fasting every Monday and would come before the altar to pray. He was not rich but well comfortable and provided for the needs of everyone in the family including my mum who was a petit trader and my kid brother.
At the age of 8 thieves broke into our house in the midnight, killed my dad,
collected money and my mum's expensive jewelleries. About leaving, the armed robbers noticed the beauty of an innocent girl with long curled hair. They descended on me and three hefty men r***d me in turns. I fainted. The following day I woke up in a hospital bed with my mum by my
bedside. Flashes of what happened the previous night came to me like
video clips. I screamed and became very violent. It took 2 nurses and the
doctor to hold me before I was given injection to sleep. Why did God allow
this to happen to me, I kept asking myself this question?
My mum did her best to send my brother and I to school. I was 14 yrs old in my second year in high school (JSS2) when my mum fell sick. The
sickness protracted for months that we had to sell everything my dad left
for us, land furniture to pay hospital bills. Eventually, she died a day
before my 15th birthday. She died of cancer. I was devastated. Every hope
lost. Family members and friends deserted us. Many even said it to my
hearing that my family is cursed. My brother and I could not go back to school again. He joined the bad boys went into drugs and eventually
became an armed robber and was killed in one of his operations. I became a full time pr******te and live in a hostel where we pay daily for rent. This world have been very unfair to me. God has failed me. Can you see where am coming from?
While she was talking I realised that this is a very tough one. How do I
defend God in this matter? Holy Spirit, help me. I told her, I agreed totally with you. Indeed God has really failed you. He neglected you and allowed 3 men to r**e you at the age of 8. He has the power to heal your mum yet He allowed her to die of cancer. This is a very cruel world. But wait a minute, have you at any time failed God? Do you have a Father-daughter relationship with God? What do you mean? She asked. Have you at any time accepted the gift of love God gave you? What gift? My father never mentioned any gift. He only told me that I am a child of God and that God will always keep and protect me, provide for my needs. That is very true only if you have accepted the gift of God’s love. See John 3:16 (KJV)

10 The thief (devil) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.You never entrusted your life into God’s hands that is why it was not His responsibility to protect and care for you. Jesus will give you abundant life if only you will give your life to Christ. Pray this prayer with me. Lord Jesus, I know I have sinned against you. Forgive me all my sins (make a confession of your sins to Him now). Have mercy upon me. I repent of my sins and I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour. Come into my life and make me a child of God. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
