This is a long post, most of you won’t make it to the end. In fact less than 5% will. If you did, this is only 5 minutes of what Jesus endured over many hours of torture. He didn’t do it to be famous in the eyes of the world, he did it for love. To restore what was once broken. Why? Because Sunday is coming - when He defeated death. We can only understand this through the cultural lens at the time, what was the culture norm, why was His death significant? Why would it make a difference? What is going on in this world?

Lighthouse Church celebrated turning 4 yesterday, with a moment of pause, not with a - ‘this is what we are going to do next?!’ But a moments to stand in awe of Him and the legacy we all serve to build upon. Our corner stone, our rock and the one who leads the church we gather together to be. It’s Him we praise our author and creator of the story He is still writing in and through His church across the globe. His name if you don’t know it is Jesus.

With our now tradition of a shared lunch and a 100 foot long table, we marked this moment together as a community. Here’s a few highlights. ❤️

Church doesn’t always look like what you might think. Church isn’t actually the building. Church according to scripture is the people. Here are a few highlights trying to capture Gods story in and through His church.

The best way to know what Church is like is to pop along and meet us all. We’d loved to hear your story, so come along and grab a drink from the hospitality team on arrival.

Doors open at 10.15am and the gathering kicks off at 10.30am till about midday.

❄️NO GATHERING ON SITE | CANCELLED | 11.01.2026❄️

Hey Church,

We’ve been checking the site and keeping
an eye on the weather and it is very unsafe
around church due to the ice and
snow. It’s also due to be very cold
over night and in the morning. The
church building it’s self is
also significantly colder than usual.
(Believe it or not)

Due to these factors, it’s been decided to
cancel tomorrows gathering - 11th Jan 2026.

There will be a few team members on site in the
event messages don’t make it get to everyone.

Gas Street will be streaming at 5pm on YouTube or
if you missed last week, swipe on
over to our YouTube channel - Lighthouse Church St Mary’s.

We hope to be back next Sunday as usual. In the
mean time stay connected and up-to-date by

A mini Christmas season look back from 2022 when Lighthouse Church launched to now.

From the 30th Novembers Love Christmas community gathering right up today (Christmas Eve) we’ve opened over 20 tubs of chocs, given 100 gifts from Santa, munched on over 500 mince pies and cups off milled wine and said hello to over 2000 of you through all our Christmas celebrations. Here’s a reminder that we joined a journey, long established before Lighthouse launched and founded on that very special day that we celebrate on 25th Dec, Jesus’s birthday. It’s all about Him.
