Please join us in congratulating Dr. Robert Newman and his lovely wife Norma.

On 22nd January, Rob received a British Citizen Award (BCA) at a ceremony held at the Palace of Westminster, London. This national honour recognises his almost five decades of continuous voluntary service to communities across Birmingham, delivered on behalf of our Church by:

- Rob’s contribution , which has been particularly impactful through his long-standing youth work at Small Heath Baptist Church, including his involvement with The Boys’ Brigade, supporting generations of young people through mentoring and leadership.

- His Sustained, practical support for individuals experiencing homelessness - notably through his involvement with Crossroads, the church’s ministry of feeding the homeless in the city centre a few times a month for the past 33 years.
