Dear All,
Just a warm reminder and invitation to keep circulating the flyer for our Black History Month celebration, Know Thyself, happening on Sat 4 Oct at 4pm at St Martin in the Bullring.
We’re asking our brothers and sisters to bring a book that shaped their journey/understanding of self, history, or power. It’ll be a deeply reflective evening of stories, connection, and truth.
📌 Flyer attached – please forward it again within your networks, WhatsApp groups, or church contacts.
Thank you for honouring our histories and amplifying this space of resistance and joy.

In solidarity,
Kevin

🙏 Prayer of the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer

O Lord of wonders,
You who hear the cries of Your people and answer with grace,
We stand before this wall—etched with testimonies,
A monument not of stone alone, but of Your faithfulness.

Let every brick proclaim Your goodness,
Let every story echo Your mercy,
Let every answered prayer stir hope in the hearts of the weary.

May this wall be a beacon to the doubting,
A refuge for the broken,
A reminder that no prayer is too small,
No voice too faint for Your ears.

Teach us to trust in the waiting,
To rejoice in the answering,
And to remember in the silence
That You are always near.

As generations pass by this sacred place,
May they be drawn not to the wall itself,
But to the God who answers—
Who redeems, restores, and never forgets.

We give You glory for every miracle,
Every healing, every provision,
Every whisper of peace in the storm.

Let this wall stand as a living altar,
A testament to Your love,
And a call to pray boldly,
Knowing You are the God who answers.

Amen.

Today we celebrated the birthday of our Lay Reader Adeola.
She shared a reflection from today's readings.

Relationship with Jesus, the one that matters. Who mattered most in your life? Mary chose the needful, she chose to seat at Jesus's feet to learn. She did not worried or allowed anything to distracted her from being with Jesus. Unlike Martha that was worried and upset about many things, Mary chose to focus on Jesus.
Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is really matter and that, Mary has chosen.
Mary chose to learn.
She chose to worship
She chose to pay attention and chose to have a relationship with Jesus. Having a relationship with God means knowing Him and growing in knowledge of Him. It's impossible to know someone intimately without spending time with them .
