We meet on a Sunday from 9:30am - 10.30am for prayer and our main service takes place from 10.30am - 12:30pm. Our church is based at 86 Watery Lane Middleway, Birmingham, B9 4HN. Prayerlessness is not simply a lack of discipline. It is sin.

When we neglect prayer, we neglect communion with God and choose to live without depending on Him.

Prayer is not a last resort. It is how we acknowledge our need for God, seek His will, and remain in fellowship with Him.

“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17

This week, let’s examine our prayer lives. Are we seeking God because we need Him, or only when we need something from Him?

Do you hear God ?

Not every voice in your head is the voice of God.

Sometimes it’s fear. Sometimes it’s your own thoughts. Sometimes it’s what you’ve heard from others.

So how do you recognise when God is speaking?

Learn to know His Word. Learn His character. Stay close to Him.

The more you know God, the easier it becomes to recognise what sounds like Him.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t hearing from God. It’s accepting the answer He gives you.

Your emotions might be loud. Your plans might feel right. Your heart might already be attached to a particular outcome.

But God’s direction doesn’t always match what you feel.

Before you make the decision, pause.
Pray.
Discern.

Don’t ask God to approve the answer you already chose. Ask Him for the wisdom to recognise His answer, even when it challenges what you want.

Save this for the next time your emotions are making the decision for you. 🤍
