An Auspicious Lotus Pond Project at Dhamma Talaka Peace Pagoda:
Your generous donation would be greatly appreciated!
The Lotus Pond at Dhamma Talaka Peace Pagoda has been undergoing a major renovation for the past two months.
This beautiful pond was originally created 25 years ago, and after a quarter of a century, the old structure has reached the stage where a complete renovation is necessary. Rather than simply repairing the existing pond, we have undertaken a major reconstruction to create a stronger, more beautiful and long-lasting Lotus Pond for generations to come.
The renovation includes:
• Complete dismantling of the old structure
• New reinforced concrete walls
• Thorough cleaning and preparation of the pond floor
• New waterproofing liners and protective membranes
• A new artistic design using natural stones and brickwork
• Renovation of the surrounding walking paths
• Plastering and finishing
• New beautiful lotus plants
• New fish to bring life and beauty to the pond
We also have a beautiful vision for the completed Lotus Pond at Dhamma Talaka Peace Pagoda.
If devotees and well-wishers kindly sponsor or support this auspicious project, we hope to place five Buddha statues in the pond—one in each of the four quarters, with one Buddha statue at the centre.
This sacred design will make the Lotus Pond not only a place of natural beauty, but also a peaceful and inspiring space for contemplation, reflection and the cultivation of wholesome thoughts.
The four Buddhas surrounding the pond, together with the central Buddha, will create a unique and meaningful feature of Dhamma Talaka Peace Pagoda.
Once completed, we hope this new structure will serve the community for at least another 40 years, becoming an even more peaceful and auspicious feature of Dhamma Talaka Peace Pagoda.
However, undertaking a complete reconstruction after 25 years is naturally a substantial and costly project. Every contribution, large or small, will help us bring this beautiful project to completion.
We warmly invite devotees, families and well-wishers who wish to participate in this meritorious project to support the Lotus Pond renovation and the Buddha statue project.
Every contribution, large or small, will become part of this lasting work of Dhamma.
May those who support this auspicious project be blessed with peace, good health, prosperity and happiness, and may the merit of their generosity continue to benefit themselves, their families and all sentient beings.
May the Lotus Pond become a beautiful symbol of the Buddha’s wisdom, compassion and peace for generations to come.
May the Lotus Pond flourish as a symbol of purity, peace and the Dhamma for many generations to come.
Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!
