The Messy Picnic turned four today!
For the past four years we’ve spent a day of the summer holidays together enjoying water play, messy crafts and sharing the stories of our faith. This year we explored the story of Daniel, and it was wonderful to welcome 62 children along with their parents and carers to join in the fun. Toddlers from Little Fishes, church families, former toddlers and regulars at messy church.
Messy Picnic was the brainchild of our Churchwarden, Julie, and it’s been such a joy to watch it grow and flourish. Every year it becomes a little bigger, a little more creative, and an even better reflection of our community—diverse, welcoming, fully integrated and overflowing with laughter, friendship and joy. I said earlier that my cheeks hurt from smiling so much.
Here’s to four fantastic years, and many more to come!
