"Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest" Mark 6:31 was the bible verse we studied together at youth group last Sunday. We made a lot of noise as Samuel tried to read out the full bible verse to demonstrate that when our lives are full of noise and we are so busy, it can be hard to hear Gods voice. We played a busy game to show how Jesus invites us to stop and rest. Our take home challenge was to spend 5 minutes every day in a quiet place with Jesus. We made our own poster to take home as a reminder.
We decorated pumpkins and ate lots of pizza and cake. A lovely time of fellowship together!

In Junior church we thought about the following verse this morning.
Mark 12:17 - Jesus then said to them, ‘So you should give to Caesar the things that belong to Caesar. And give to God the things that belong to God.'
We thought about what this means and looked at some modern coins to see who we could find on them.
We made coins with our own faces on them and put them inside a heart that represented God, to show that we belong to him.
Some of the children added the very special words 'love your neighbour as yourself'
Their creations were lovely!
