🌊🐠 Sensory Tots – Under the Sea Adventure! 🐙🦀

Join us this week as we dive beneath the waves for a fun-filled sensory session!

Our little explorers will enjoy:
🫧 Bubble water tray play
🌿 Seaweed and pom-pom sensory fun
🐠 Sea creature matching activities
🍽️ Under the sea food play tray
🎶 Songs, music, and interactive play

Plus, we’ll enjoy a tasty snack of fresh strawberries 🍓 and chocolate crackers 🍫.

A wonderful opportunity for little ones to explore, learn, create, and make new friends in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

🌟 Our theme this month is... Because! 🌟

One of my favourite songs is Would You Know Why I Love Jesus? (especially the Songster version 🎶).

It got me thinking... do you know why you love Jesus?

What is it about Him that makes Him so precious to you? What has He done in your life that makes you love Him?

If you can't answer "because..." straight away, maybe that's something worth taking a little time to think about. ❤️

And if you do know why you love your Jesus, we'd love to hear it!

🌟 Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers – Volunteer Week 2026 🌟

This Volunteer Week, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to the incredible team of volunteers who make such a difference at Birkenhead Salvation Army.

To our 20+ regular volunteers who faithfully give their time, energy, and kindness to help run our church and community shop – thank you. Your dedication, compassion, and willingness to serve are at the heart of everything we do.

We also want to give a special thank you to everyone who supports our Christmas appeal each year by buying, sorting, packing, and distributing toys and treats to local families. Your generosity helps bring joy, hope, and practical support to so many people during the festive season.

Quite simply, we couldn't do what we do without you. Every hour you give, every smile you share, and every act of service makes a real difference in our community.

✨ New Theme for June & July: Because ✨

With two toddlers at home, we hear a lot of “but why?” — especially from our eldest! 😄 And if you’re a parent, you’ll know that sometimes the answer ends up being… “just because!”

But it got us thinking… is “just because” really enough?

As Christians, we’re often asked that same question:
👉 Why do you believe in Jesus?
👉 What’s your reason… your because?

Do you know your answer?

Over the next 8 weeks, we’ll be exploring the because behind our faith — unpacking the “why” in a real, honest, and meaningful way.

This Sunday we will share in our sharing service where different people have chosen our songs. This will complete our series on 'I am who God says I am'. The world is really good at telling us who it thinks we are. 'Broken', 'Damaged', 'Unwanted', 'Unworthy' the list goes on. We listen to these words, take them to heart and sometimes even pick them up as our identity. The Good News of Scripture is that is not who God thinks we are! To Him we are 'Chosen', 'Loved', a 'Masterpiece' and so much more! So today, what ever the world has told you it thinks about you, don't let it stick! Know that you are a Child of God who is fearfully and wonderfully made and Loved beyond measure. If you would like to share with us we would love to see you on Sunday at 10.30am :)
