e changing! The mission, which is well-supported by local churches, is particularly well-known for its impressive water fight. For the last couple of years this has even involved the local fire brigade arriving with their hoses to join in the fun. Avtar is keen for the lively team to see their roles as history makers, having an impact on the community. The mission attracts over six hundred children and young people during the fortnight for a Jesus-focused programme. A programme for adults has grown up alongside, and there is now a well established café which provides not only yummy home-made cakes but also opportunities to meet with others.
