A very happy Christmas to our Church family this morning!

“Shepherds, tell us whom you have seen! Who has appeared on earth?
‘We have seen the newborn child and we have heard the choirs of angels praising the Lord. Alleluia.’”

21/12/2021

Please see below our Mass times for the Christmas. Unfortunately we are unable to have a children’s Mass on Christmas Eve this year:

Christmas Eve:
Midnight Mass at 11.30pm at St. Gabriel’s

Christmas Day:
9.15am at St. Gabriel’s
11.15am at Our Lady of Consolation

07/12/2021

Please be aware that this Saturday, 11th December, the 9:30am Mass will be held at Our Lady of Consolation rather than at St Gabriel's.

Please see below a message from Canon Tim regarding changes to Sunday Mass times:

When Bishop Richard visited both St Gabriel’s and Our Lady of Consolation last Autumn and announced their amalgamation, many parishioners on both sides wondered whether the proposed Sunday Mass timetable (9.30am & 11am) was workable and leaving me with enough time to get from one church to the other. When these times came into effect in January, I said we would review the situation after Easter. However due to the Covid pandemic it seemed little point in adjusting the Mass times until now. With Communal singing being reintroduced and Bidding Prayers due to come back soon all of which extend the time of Mass, I propose from the first weekend in October, to adjust the Sunday times of Mass to 9.15am (St Gabriel’s) and 11.15am (Our Lady of Consolation). This should give me more time to spend with the Billingshurst parishioners after Mass and not eat into lunch time for the parishioners at West Grinstead. I know this won’t suit everyone, but it will produce a much more workable timetable and as it is a small adaption, the Bishop has agreed.
