💜 DONATIONS NEEDED – CAN YOU HELP? 💜

Billingham Spiritualist Church is collecting donations to support Harbour Women’s Refuge and women in need through North Tees Hospital.

We would be incredibly grateful for donations of:

🧴 Toiletries – shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes and other everyday essentials
🥿 New slippers
🌙 New nightwear / pyjamas

For a woman fleeing domestic violence, leaving home can happen suddenly and with very little opportunity to pack belongings. She may arrive somewhere safe with only the clothes she is wearing and very few personal possessions.

Something as simple as fresh toiletries, a clean pair of pyjamas or new slippers can provide a little comfort, dignity and normality at an incredibly difficult and frightening time.

By donating, you are helping a woman know that she is not alone and that people in her community care. 💜

Any donation, no matter how small, will be very gratefully received.

Donations can be brought to Billingham Spiritualist Church and we will make sure they reach the organisations we are supporting.

Thank you to everyone who is able to help. Your kindness could make a difficult day a little easier for someone who has had to leave everything behind.

✨ Thought of the Day ✨

We are more than the lives we live here on Earth. We are souls on a journey, learning, growing and experiencing the many lessons that life brings. 💜

There may be times when we feel alone, but Spirit reminds us that love never truly leaves us. Those who have passed beyond our sight may no longer walk beside us in the way they once did, but the bonds of love remain. 🕊️

Trust your intuition, listen to the quiet whispers of your soul, and have faith that even through the difficult chapters, your spirit continues to grow.

✨ Respect • Love • Honesty ✨

At Billingham Spiritualist Church, we believe spirituality is not only found in the messages we receive, the prayers we share, or the words we speak.

It is found in how we treat one another. 💜

🌿 Respect — recognising that every person is walking a path we may know nothing about.

❤️ Love — choosing kindness, compassion and understanding, even when our views may differ.

🕊️ Honesty — speaking with truth and integrity, while remembering that truth can always be delivered with kindness.

Being spiritual does not mean we will always agree. We are all individuals, with different experiences, beliefs and lessons to learn.

But perhaps one of our greatest spiritual lessons is learning to disagree without disrespect, to speak without causing unnecessary hurt, and to listen without judgement.

Before we speak, post, comment or react, perhaps we could ask ourselves:

Is it true?
Is it kind?
Is it necessary?
Does it come from a place of love?

The energy we give to others matters.

A kind word can lift someone who is struggling.
A little understanding can heal a misunderstanding.
A moment of respect can remind someone that they matter.

Spirituality begins within us but it is shown through our actions.

✨ May we choose respect over judgement, love over negativity, honesty over pretence, and kindness wherever we can. ✨

Because at the end of the day, it isn’t only what we believe that defines us…

It is how we make others feel along the way. 💜🕊️
