(Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire District)

South Essex Methodist Circuit seeks to employ a
Part Time Circuit Property Officer

(2 Year Fixed Term Contract – Part-Time 30hrs/month)

To provide oversight and day to day management of Circuit premises in Basildon, Billericay and Thurrock. This includes 3 manses, 9 church buildings and 1 former manse which is currently rented out. This role will mean working alongside 3 full-time presbyters, a part-time administrator and volunteers from the circuit leadership team and churches, to ensure that all Methodist properties are fit for purpose and remain safe and welcoming spaces that can serve our communities. Hours of Work: 30hrs a month. Some evening and weekend work required.

Contract: 2 Years Fixed Term

Rate of Pay: £15 per hour

Location: Work from home with attendance at premises and meetings necessary.

Requirements: Valid driving licence and own transport.
DBS check and safeguarding training provided by the Circuit.
Must be sympathetic to the Christian faith

Welcome We are the South Essex Circuit of the Methodist Church. Our churches are located in Basildon, Billericay, Herongate, throughout Thurrock and in Wickford. In total we have 11 places of worship in a variety of buildings with welcoming congregations that vary in size and worship style.

Reminder:- Our Family Christingle Service is this Saturday 21st December 2024 at 4pm.This is always a lovely start to Christmas and suitable for everyone so bring your family and friends along. Monday Toddlers have been asked to sing their Christmas songs. There will be nativity costumes to try on, Christingle oranges to make and, of course, the Christmas Story. There will be refreshments after.
Everyone welcome. We hope you can come. 🎄
