Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.

During each session, there will be interesting talks, and open conversations. We would love to welcome you along - whether you are just curious about faith, or have been coming to church for years.

The second session of our current course starts on Wednesday the 9th of September.

Come for cake and refreshments at 7pm for a 7:30 start. Please get in touch if you plan to attend.

Important update;

To all those coming to Biggar to experience a community worshipping together at our annual outdoor service in the Burn Braes this morning -

Sadly, we must change our plans and hold the service in St Mary’s Hall. We are forecast for rain, sadly, and the grass is still very wet in the park.

You are all still very welcome to join us this morning and please do still bring along your picnics.

Please comment below if you need further details. We look forward to raising the roof with singing and a delightful picnic indoors instead 🙂

We are delighted to invite you to our annual outdoor worship service in the Burn Braes on Sunday 16th August at 11.15am.

This will be followed by a "bring-your-own" picnic and great conversation and fellowship.

**COMMUNITY EVENT**

You are warmly invited to join us for worship in the heart of our community.

On Sunday 16 August, we’ll gather together in the Burn Braes park at 11.15am for our annual outdoor service. It will be a relaxed opportunity to worship together in the open air, and everyone is welcome; whether you attend church regularly, haven’t been for a while or have never joined us before.

If church isn’t usually part of your Sunday, this relaxed outdoor service could be a lovely opportunity to come along, experience worship and meet people from the local community.

After the service, we’ll enjoy a community picnic together. Bring along your own picnic and stay for a chat.

As our weather seems changeable at the moment, if it rains, the service and picnic will still go ahead and will take place in St Mary’s Hall instead.

This gathering will replace Biggar Kirk's usual Café Church service which usually takes place in St Mary's Hall on the third Sunday of every month.

We would love for you to join us and we hope to see you there :)

Black Mount Parish Church is hosting a Strawberry Tea on Saturday 11th July, from 2.00pm–4.00pm in Dolphinton Village Hall.

Enjoy strawberries, tea and coffee, delicious home baking, a tombola and more.

£5.00 per person.

We'd be delighted to welcome you for a relaxing afternoon and a chance to catch up with friends old and new.

Join us at 9.45am in our beautiful rural church for a traditional service led by Anne.

☕ Café Church at St Mary's Hall, Biggar
Join us at 11.15am for a relaxed and informal time of worship, conversation, and fellowship. Whether you're a regular churchgoer, or are coming to us for the first time, you'll find a warm welcome waiting for you. Anne will also lead us in Biggar.

🙏 Before Café Church, we will gather in the Small Hall at St Mary's at 10.15am to pray together. Anyone is welcome to join us.

Please note that there will be no service in Libberton and Quothquan Parish Church this week.

Wherever you are on your faith journey, you are invited to come as you are. We look forward to meeting old friends, welcoming new faces, and sharing in worship together.

On the back of a glorious Gala week in Biggar, we hope that no one is feeling this way, but truthfully, many carry worries that don't go away - even during times of celebration.

Whatever this week has brought, remember that you do not have to carry your burdens alone.

What a way to kick off Biggar Gala Week! The cornets and gala court all had a bit of fun this morning in Biggar Kirk.

I don’t think anyone was expecting to come to church to have cornflakes… least of all cornet elect Calum Somerville, fed by this year’s blindfolded cornet Brian Thomson!
